Saturday’s opponent, UNI, makes its annual trip to the Knapp Center with a 12-7 overall record a 3-3 MVC record following back-to-back 3-1 wins over Wichita State and Indiana State. UNI is currently 65th. Wichita State is 42nd, SIU is 59th, Missouri State is 67th and Illinois State is 95th. All five are among the Bulldogs’ first six MVC opponents. The Bulldogs return to their home court following Monday’s tremendous 3-0 sweep of Illinois State. The win was Drake’s first win over the Redbirds since 2009 and as a team, Drake hit .257 in the match and held a 12-5 advantage in blocks to dispatch Illinois State.
